"A man is known by the company he keeps."
Being in proximity with business minded people inspired him to choose the path of starting his own business. The man I am talking about is Ludhiana based businessman Mr. Ravinder Kumar Shukla. He is the owner of two firms. One is Misha Dyes and Chemicals and the second is Chemico-De-Industries. His annual turnover for the first firm is around Rs. 20 Crores and for the second one is about Rs.8-10 Crores. He owes his success to the grace and blessings of God along with three other important factors. The first factor is the HARD- WORK combined with right direction and right approach. Second is the SINCERITY and seriousness involved towards the work. The third and the most important fact that plays a crucial role in making a person successful is his HONESTY towards business and business associates.
In my interview with this gentleman who started his business in 1987 I came across his strength i.e. having a CLEAR FOCUS about what he wanted which has made him what he is today. He gives a lot of credit to banking facilities which helped him in expanding his business. He had a sale of Rs.40 Lakhs when he started and has come a long way since then.
According to him"If you loose focus you loose everything."
If a businessman doesn't know the prevailing market conditions, market trends, amount of purchase and sale of goods he is dealing in he can never ever be successful. Plate full of food lying in front of a person cannot pacify his hunger unless he makes an effort to put the food in his mouth. Similar is the case with business. A businessman needs to be vigilant enough to analyse and interpret the market conditions and use them accordingly for his business. The present world is highly competitive, full of fluctuations and negative trends in the market. The only way to make it big is to inculcate the inputs of high quality products, resource management, time management, complete knowledge of the market etc. The present date competition follows the rule of " Survival of the fittest" and every person needs to work in accordance with it to achieve success.
At the end of this interview I drew this conclusion that-
"Hard work is the only key to success and there is no short cut to it."
